Welcome to Foxx Editorial. If you’re ready to take your manuscript, query package, or short/flash fiction story to the next level, you’ve come to the right place. Writing and editing are not easy! The path to publication can feel insurmountable. But, like many challenging things in life, you can’t go over, under, or around them—you have to go through them. That’s where learning and growth happens. That’s where the magic happens. And that’s where I come in! I can help you find a clear path through those revision challenges and get you closer to turning your publication dreams into a reality.
Please note: if you’re looking for my literary agent website, you can find that here. (I’ve recently begun as an Editorial Assistant at The Rights Factory in Toronto and will soon be building my client list as a literary agent! Please note: I am unable to offer representation for a manuscript I’ve been hired to edit.)
Who am I?
I’m Kathleen, owner and editor at Foxx Editorial, editorial assistant and literary agent-in-training at The Rights Factory in Toronto, and contract proofreader at Rising Action Publishing Co. I am a proud member of Editors Canada and previously, the 2022-23 Primary Co-chair of the Hamilton-Halton branch of Editors Canada. I offer advice from the mindset of a writer, an editor, and upcoming literary agent. Head to the About section to find out more.
A career in the publication industry means I get to combine two of my biggest passions—stories/storytelling and helping others—and put them into practice every day. I do this because I enjoy the art of writing and shaping stories and because it brings me joy to help others strengthen their writing skills and move past their vulnerabilities.
Whether you’re looking for guidance into the next stage of your draft, help generating ideas in an area you’re stuck on, or a set of professional eyes to tidy those typos (and more!), I can help you polish up those pages and get them ready for querying or publication.
If you’re prepping to query agents or publishers and need help perfecting your submission package, check out my pre-recorded course on crafting Queries and Synopses! See details here!
