Testimonials and Books

I think word of mouth and testimonials can go a long way in establishing trust between a new client and an editor. I’m so thankful for the kind feedback on my work, and hopefully, this can help make your decision to hire me a little easier. Of course, it’s easy for any freelancer to handpick their clients’ testimonials and only show the good ones, but my average is 5 stars because I always deliver quality services and keep all my clients happy—every single one. I strive for excellence with my clients and work hard to keep it that way. Check out what my clients are saying!

One of my most recent indie author clients had this to say after I completed copyedits on her most recent novel, Wicked Bleu, launched on October 10, 2022 (see more about the book below):

Published Books I’ve Worked On

Many of my clients are indie authors, but I’m also working directly with Rising Action Publishing Co. and have a full schedule of books releasing in 2023 and beyond that I will post here closer to their launch dates. I’m so excited and honoured to be able to be a part of bringing these fabulous books into the world!

My fabulous client, E. Denise Billups, released book two in her Simone Doucet paranormal series, Wicked Bleu, on October 10, 2022. The first book of hers I read was Keepers of the Gate: Twilight Ends book one, and I was hooked. I love a good supernatural story, especially when there’s ancestry involved. Billups’ writing is absolutely gorgeous, easily evoking images in my mind with her detailed descriptions of setting and emotion. After I read it, I left a review that was selected as Top Review. When she released book one of the Simone Doucet series, Tainted Harvest, I read it immediately and of course, loved it. Denise reached out to me earlier this year to discuss copyedits on Wicked Bleu and I was absolutely thrilled! What an honour to get to work with her on this book. If you like eerie supernatural stories with ghosts and hauntings and some unique time travel, mysteries, and beautifully described scenes, definitely pick up a copy of Wicked Bleu. It can be read as a standalone, but I of course recommend reading Tainted Harvest first because it is equally splendid!

Heather Dixon’s debut thriller, BURLINGTON, is scheduled to launch in August of 2023. What a fabulous read! It’s a well-paced book full of tension, suspense, and suspicion. I was theorizing right from the start. It’s a story about the lengths people will go to stay on top, or at least look like they are.

A clique-y group of moms in a rich and snobby neighbourhood is bound to make for some good, juicy gossip-y stories! When you move into a neighbourhood like that, as an outsider who wasn’t born from money, you have a lot of work to do to fit in. And that’s all the main character wants… to fit in, to be accepted, to be liked. But when women start disappearing, she starts wondering why no one is talking about it and trying to solve what happened. The more she digs, the further away she gets from fitting in and the closer she gets to danger. She has to figure out the truth before she becomes the next target while ensuring the safety of her two sweet little girls AND without being labelled paranoid and crazy. It’s cover-ups, secrets, and lies in a setting that looks so perfect from the outside, but Burlington is anything but. A thrilling story!

IRL is a thrilling story full of action, ancient curses, and black magic in an almost-apocalyptic setting that takes us from the online gaming world to real-life crazy circumstances. Nora and Wesley meet IRL when the world starts going sideways after an ancient curse is revived, turning humans into zombies–but this isn’t your typical zombie story because it’s not a virus that brings on the undead; it’s a curse. Nora’s uncle was part of a small group of people who knew—and believed in—a hidden ancient city with a deadly ruler. Nora and Wesley must determine who to trust in order to save the world from certain death—and raging undeath. It’s a race against time as they’ve got a powerful society on their tail who wants an important piece of the puzzle Nora’s uncle entrusted to her, and the clock is ticking down until the curse is fully engaged.
